In January the chapter went on our annual "Mountain Weekend" retreat. This year we traveled to Pigeon Forge and stayed in four incredible cabins. These cabins included theatre rooms, games rooms, and indoor pools. Friday was a day of travel as brothers slowly arrived to their cabins. On Saturday, the brothers, along with their dates, went out to explore the gorgeous Smokey Mountains and took in everything Tennessee had to offer. Sunday we regrettably had to return home, leaving the great state of Tennessee behind. The retreat was an incredible experience and a great break from school, and we cannot wait for the next one!
In early October the chapter traveled to Daytona for semi-formal. Brothers arrived on late Friday night, and most went to sleep after a long days travel. Saturday was spent on the beach, with the entire brotherhood enjoying the sand and the ocean. Saturday night everyone dressed up in their formal attire as we had a nice dinner, followed by a dj party. Sunday was another lazy day on the beach, and then everyone embarked on their long journey back to tech on Monday.
The Gamma Eta Chapter would like to extend a thank you to all the moms for our first Moms' Luncheon! It was a great time and the least we could do for these outstanding women!
Yesterday we initiated 18 new brothers into the fraternity. Their hard work and dedication throughout the semester have earned them a place in our chapter. We welcome the Fall 2014 Gamma Eta Pledge Class!
Gamma Eta has always taken athletics seriously and our success in intramural sports stands to prove this.
The brothers living in Atlanta this summer won the intramural school championships in Co-Rec Sand Volleyball, Softball, and 4v4 Flag Football!
We are looking forward to taking this momentum into the next year, and continuing our success with intramural sports in the fall!
Fall Rush is quickly approaching, and the Gamma Eta chapter of Beta Theta Pi is proud to announce that we will be awarding scholarships to potential new members. To apply for the scholarship, you must be a non-Greek Georgia Tech student who is interested in rushing.

The Gamma Eta Chapter has always taken pride in its Brother's commitment to Georgia Tech's campus life. Today, three Brothers Alex Roe, Mick Stapleton, and Scott Schroer are on the Men's Lacrosse Team, with Alex Roe serving as President and Mick Stapleton as Captain.
These Brothers are a great example of our chapter, where we have men serving as everything from Undergraduate Judicial Board judges, to Omicron Delta Kappa secretary to Athletic Association Football trainers.
Captain Mick Stapleton was quoted in a recent Technique article, which you can read here.
