Welcome Back!

Alumni support is crucial to the success of the Gamma Eta chapter! Because of this, we have established many ways of remaining in contact and promoting interaction between the active chapter and the alumni. One method is our seasonal Dragon’s Tale Newsletter. This means of communication has proved very useful in alerting alumni to current chapter affairs as well as pertinent events. We host multiple Alumni Events each year. Alumni are always welcome to come see the house. Take some time to drop by for dinner—touch base with us so our Alumni Coordinator can meet with you. Please contact our him for more information!

Semester Letter From The President

Respected Alumni,
It is with great pleasure to be informing you in regards to another successful year in the history books of the Gamma Eta Chapter of Beta Theta Pi. With finals on the approach, we have been extremely busy around the house with events every weekend since January…literally! With our pledgeship taking place in the fall semester, the spring has always been a time to elevate our brotherhood around the house. This year, our events fell into place so we had something going on every single weekend. From Formal, to Beta Lei, to Dogwood, each weekend we had events planned that allowed us to share our brotherhood around the house and taught the twenty-eight first years how to live like a brother of Beta Theta Pi.

With all our events keeping us busy, we have continued to strive for excellence in the classroom. Last fall we recorded a 3.11 GPA, which was second in all fraternities at Georgia Tech. As we always strive to get better in all aspects of our house, we are working to improve upon our past GPA this spring.

In other news, it seems that more often than not, we have been under-dogs in the traditional “Tug-Competition.” Usually we get to the second round and face a powerhouse with unbeatable form. However, this year dressed in plaid, our Tug team of fourteen defeated Sigma Phi Epsilon, Alpha Epsilon Pi, and Theta Chi to take home the title. Overall in Greek Week, we were awarded the “Most Improved Chapter” with ninety four more points than last year’s performance. Great job, guys!

As always, if you are ever driving by the house or just in the neighborhood please stop by and say hello! I know it is pretty far in advance, but this year’s homecoming game is October 17th, so mark your calendars and bring along your whole family so you all can enjoy the pre-game atmosphere on campus.

Lastly, I want to thank all of our alumni for your recent support. It has been great seeing alumni randomly stop by the house to say hello and checking up on how we are doing. I hope you all have a great summer, and I look forward to seeing you in the fall, and especially homecoming!
