Georgia Tech, Roll 311

Joseph Stubbins lost his life when his sub, the S-26, collided with a naval vessel off the coast of Panama on January 14, 1942. While at Georgia Tech in 1940, he founded Tau Beta Pi and Engineer’s Day. There is a plaque in his honor in the ODK room in Britain Dining Hall.
