Edward Barton Hamm

Georgia Tech 1929, Roll #174

Edward Hamm set the world record in the long jump with a leap of 25’ 11 1/8’‘ in a track meet in Boston in 1928. He then went on to win the 1928 Olympic Gold Medal in that event in Amsterdam. There are over two dozen medals and plaques won by Hamm on display on Georgia Tech’s campus.
